I think Golovkin is the most over hyped fighter in boxing. I love his fights though. He passes the eye test with flying colors because no-one else is KOing 22 opponents in a row and a good few of those were in the top ten when they fought. But no elite opponents.
On the other hand Brook is under-hyped - flying under the radar. He is a better boxer than any of Golovkins previous opponents. Albeit a LMW in reality. He also has oodles of self belief which is a prerequisite for defeating a "monster".
Whereas Khan looked like he had tiger Canelo by the tail and we all knew it was just a matter of time I'm thinking this fight will show a lot of kinks in Golovkin's armour and that'll be a good thing as we will see other fighters step up to fight him.

Love or hate Brook, I cannot see how anyone cannot respect him and is talking **** about him. This guy is moving up two weight classes and taking on the most feared, hardest punching, undefeated true MW champion. Not only that, he is taunting GGG as well about his power. I mean seriously? I don't care what Brook's motivation is, money/greed, attention, etc. He is talking the talk and walking the walk. Period. I think hes going to sleep by 4-5 rounds but I would love it if I was wrong and it was very competitive (which it may be more than people think).

            Respect Brook!!

I don't think he's overhyped. Lemieux wasn't a bum when he faced GGG. Murray was game as was Stevens. Each of them exposed a little something in the armor that nobody has exploited yet.

I disagree that Brook is any better of a boxer. I would argue that Brook's ring IQ is significantly higher. I don't think that'll be the game changer though.

The one pattern I see with GGG is that when you keep him in the middle of the ring - when you stand toe-to-toe away from the ropes - he looks like just another fighter in there. He excels when you back off from him and he attacks when you've got nowhere to go. Others can make excuses about how bully that makes GGG but I think it was Foreman that even said the only way to really beat him is to stand and fight, because he won't really expect it, especially if you're significantly faster than him. Brook is significantly faster than GGG.

But, Brook has a tendency to back away, like Khan does at times. Which I think is going to get him hurt.

GGG has been hurt before but he has hidden it so well that we were none the wiser and not even aware GGG has been shook. So if Brook can visibly hurt GGG that will be a achievement in itself even if he dont drop him, let alone stop him.

Honestly I have never seen Kell Brook counter punch and I don't think he should start trying to with GGG. He's a good fighter but a very basic fighter. Once he feels GGG power I doubt he will be thinking to counter punch it's best to get off first not wait on GGG.
