he got too old and didn'thave enouhg discipline to fight at 130 and 135, where he was absolutely gigantic and had huge advantages in chin, strength, and power.

he's made plenty of money if he's smart with it. dude was on hbo and showtime several times a year for several years. if you play your cards right that makes you a super wealthy guy.

but i doubt he's been smart with his money. he's never been smart with anything else

i expect broner to keep fighting and getting paid, but i don't think his self belief wil ever cause him to try and become a great fighter again.

he's also, for all of his flash, never had great footwork. never had a style built for fighting bigger men, or even guys of his own size who can take his punch and back him up.

Seriously this bandwagon down selling of Broner is getting old.
          Learn how to qoute properly..

          1. He wasn't a great amteur,,, he did everything at a national level in a nation that produces very little in terms of world class amateur boxing. USA boxing was at its lowest point in history, and broner was never a world amateur success like Ward, lomachenko, khan, etc

          2. Lmao,,, did you just say floyd struggled with Corley and chavez.. Lmao you are comparing that to broner going life and death with pauli and ponce. There goes your boxing credibility

          3. Fighters get hit, but broner gets hit all the time vs everyone he faces. Ponce, pauli, Rees, maidana, everyone tags broner.. Crawford hardly gets tagged at all, and when he does get hit, it's by top of the line guys like postal or gamboa, and even then, it's few and far between. Broner is just lucky that everyone he fights has no punching power, except for Maidana and Porter, and he lost both of those

It's fanboys like yourself that see boxer of the decade, whereas everyone else sees a decent fighter with limited skills

Crawford wasn't getting tagged up by Lundy and Dulorme?

Oh yeah, Paulie and Ponce really pushed Broner way harder than Corley pushed Floyd.

He didn't win a Gold medal(Ward) and isn't one of the best amateurs ever(Loma) or a once off teenage amateur star(Khan) so he wasn't a good amateur?

Seem to me you have a clear bias you just can't accept.

Broner has lost Maidana in a fight where he was on top at times and even hurt Chino late and had him back pedaling. Porter was a fight forced upon Broner by Haymon when Broner wanted to campaign at 140. It clearly showed in his performance.

You never had any boxing credibility.

He was chilling with Floyd at the clubs and seemed set.

Fast forwards a couple years and the dude is looked at as like a bad joke.

I mean maidana was sposed to be a cherry pick by broner. The stiff slow plodder from Argentina had been beaten by Khan and taken to school by Devon. Broner was sposed to style on him

So where did it all go wrong
                1. Discipline
                2. Does'nt play to his strengths as a fighter.
                3. Needs a new trainer. I would suggest John David Jackson.

He moved up too fast too quickly against a Maidana who swiftly proved his worth against Mayweather. The narrative the boxing world conspired to let Broner be rich and famous despite having no talent is just moronic.

You guys would have said the same about James Toney many times through his career yet now hail him as an ATG.
I agree he shouldn't have fought Maidana so quickly. But I can't imagine why anyone would think he'd be the next fighter of the decade.

Broner has to be the dumbest fu*k ever. He's borderline irrelevant in the sport with a possibility of facing jail time, yet he turns down a shot to make $4mil dollars to face a faded, semi retired Pacquiao because he feels he's worth more! SMH!
