Yeah that is the fight that he looked worst in that Ive seen

Barrera was lining him up for some big counters as Spence came in.

Serious lack of head movement and he seemed to come in in straight lines.

Saying that, he has fought better fighters than Barrera since then and hasnt looked as vulnerable

      Not seen this fight.

I like Spence but I agree with you he's got a lot to work on.

Defensively he needs a lot of work, I hope he has a chin.

This is the fight that led me to believe Algieri would give Spence trouble. But as another poster stated, Spence has tightened up since then and hasn't looked as vulnerable. That's shows his improvement. Thurman, Garcia, Brook, or Porter better jump on Spence now. The longer the wait the better he gets.

Yeah, I posted this in the thread about Atlas saying he sees no flaws... Spence eats right hands like there is no tomorrow.

I completely disagree. Algieri has a VERY poor right hand. He has to set up step by step and even then the technique is terrible.

This fight makes me think Spence could be in trouble if he fought Diego Chaves who has a beautiful right hand. Great fight btw, because he will rough Spence up on the inside which is something every young fighter needs.

If Brook vacates and Ponomarev passes up then Chaves should be next in line.

Not a fighter with a better right hand and feints against a southpaw...Can you not see the guiding hand of Nacho Beristain in Barrera's right hand?

I was coupling that with the Algieri-Khan fight which I though Algieri came away with at least a draw.

People are making a big deal of his win against Algieri, who was so obviously ill-prepared. Even his own trainer admitted Algieri being compelled into the fight he knew he couldn't win.
