I dont get it. So Floyd is going to put the title shot on hold and shelve him because Tank doesnt want to move to Vegas?

As most have said, it's more to do with the fact being where he is has too many distractions and Floyd wanted him away from there and focusing on boxing.

I understand, if he's invested money on him, he wants to make the most of it.

On the flipside, you can't really blame a guy if he doesn't want to move away from his home.

I'm sure Floyd has been around the game long enough to see potential talent being ruined by lifestyle choices so maybe he wants to stop his own fighters going down that route.

Floyd should let off being a control freak here. He has good intentions with Tank because he said he has too many bad influences in Baltimore. Vegas will make him more focused on boxing.

If Tank doesn't want to help himself, then don't force him to.

Floyd is bankrolling his career. If Tank doesn't want to play by the rules he can promote himself or find another promoter.

If Bob was giving one of his fighters advice about Bar Mitzvahs i'd defend Bob. If Oscar was telling one of his fighters about the dangers of coke and hookers i'd defend Oscar. Floyd is telling Tank to get away from his hometown and the people he's hanging around so people are defending Floyd. He did the same thing when he left Grand Rapids.

when you "shelf" a guy, its no longer just "advice", its an ultimatum. Floyd is his promoter, not his father or guidance counselor.
