Didn't he say last week that he's done with 147 as he cant or won't be able to make the weight anymore?

Either way, Kell Brook will be selling PPV's after PPV's If he keeps lining up these type of opponents and we can gauge upon how talented Brook really is If he can hold his own a bit against GGG I'd favour him to beat Spence but as things stand right now I don't.

Errol Spence is good, but let him win a world title first

Nate Diaz went from 200lbs down to 170lbs and he kept a pretty damn good stamina so maybe it's not impossible but I still imagine it being very difficult.

Fair enough, you can read what you like into his statements, but you said 'at least he's honest about it being a money grab' - whereas he doesn't say that it's a money grab at all - in Kells world I'm pretty sure he thinks he's 'daring to be great' ... well .. and rich.

This is an example of Brook wanting to believe this but the fact is, he has struggled for years to make 147 and was drained at 147 and by moving up in weight, the reality is he will never make 147 again. Nor should he try. Muscles will atrophy and he would end up dehydrated and this could be seriously detrimental to his health. Dehydration causes the brain to shrink, look it up. Leonard, Jones, Chris Byrd, and many other learned the hard way that you cannot go back down without taking a big risk. Punch resistance goes down and it speeds up the aging process as well. The lowest he should go after the GGG fight is 154 but that could be a risk as well unless he comes into the GGG fight at 156 which means he would gain at least 10 pounds after the weigh in. If he wins, the choice is obvious to stay at 160. I don't think he will win but I sure as hell wouldn't bet my house on GGG......not after all the big upsets over the years. Anything can happen.Last edited by richardt; 08-23-2016, 12:17 PM.

It'll be interesting to see how well Kell does against Golovkin if he's planning on fighting Spence next, Golovkin and Spence have a lot of similarities. Both are very sturdy pressure fighters with great skill and and ring IQ, Golovkin is better at range, Spence is better inside, but both cut the ring off well, they're both vicious body punchers, with great accuracy and timing.
Spence would be looking to get inside Brook more so than Golovkin, so Kell could get the better of him if he could stay on the outside and control the range, but against Golovkin, Kell can't do anything on the outside either. The huge size disadvantage obviously doesn't help.
