Brook is in pretty good position.

I hope we get that fight next! Of course it depends on how the fight with GGG plays out and if he takes major damage

Nor should he try. Muscles will atrophy and he would end up dehydrated and this could be seriously detrimental to his health. Dehydration causes the brain to shrink, look it up. Leonard, Jones, Chris Byrd, and many other learned the hard way that you cannot go back down without taking a big risk. Punch resistance goes down and it speeds up the aging process as well. The lowest he should go after the GGG fight is 154 but that could be a risk as well unless he comes into the GGG fight at 156 which means he would gain at least 10 pounds after the weigh in. If he wins, the choice is obvious to stay at 160. I don't think he will win but I sure as hell wouldn't bet my house on GGG......not after all the big upsets over the years. Anything can happen.
Wow..Great Post ...very few people know about dehydration and the effects on the brain and how it reduces punch resistance...eg ,Protecting Boxing Cowards doing Shawn Porter dirty when they made him lose so much weight for the Broner fight....Porter looked like a walking skeleton but then Broner couldn't make the agreed upon weight so they let Porter off the hook at the last minute...but the damage was already done for his future fights......I suggest you dont educate these so called hardcore boxing fans and I suggest you keep these clowns in the dark ....keep them in the dark and feed them $#!+ because they wouldn't know what to do with this knowledge.

Why would Brook believe that Canelo would be willing to fight the man that beat the man he's afraid to fight?

This thread is so funny. It should be titled "We're American's so we suck Spence's nuts".

Stop lying man Shawn didn't suffer! He had already rehydrated to 160lbs on the same night of the weigh in, he posted the pic of him on the scale the same night and he was already weighing 160lbs. How big do you think he was the following day on fight night?

Besides, he said so himself that he didn't suffer anything from it because they had an expert and they did everything according to schedule, and that he felt strong and good.

You could title your post "I'm too dumb to realize not all Americans are fans of the same fighter."

Follow it up with, "I don't know who's American."

I doubt we'll ever see Brook at 147 again. He'll likely realize how much better he is at 154 and stay there, win or lose to GGG. If he wins against GGG, an immediate rematch is on anyway, so yeah.

Brook needs 16 weeks and gets down to about 3% bodyfat to fight at 147. Extremely draining and unhealthy.

We've known this about Brook for years, and certainly before Spence was a real player on the scene.

Even if he loses against GGG, a 155 fight vs canelo would make a lot of sense for both guys imo.

Of course assuming he at least looks decent vs GGG.

Vacate the belt Brook and stop playing.....

He's not dropping down 30lbs to fight a young strong fighter like Spence. Especially how they've built his body up physically at this point. Just vacate Brook and let the young man realize his dreams.
