The longer the time he takes, the more he's going to be noticed. There's no way this guy wasn't offered anything from Haymon. He probably wants $2 mil for the Berto fight, which Haymon can't afford. Of course, this is all speculation, but what are the other logical reason for such long inactivity?

Garcia is the cherrypicking clown and so is Canelo, only difference is Canelo would never lose to someone like a Lamount Peterson or Herrera. Hes a completely different class of fighter.

That was a fluke, he fights Lucas again and he looses and he knows it.

It's almost September and still no news from the Garcia camp.

I was excited about Danny's career after that W. Its impressive how horribly Angel has moved his career since that point. Outside of the Peterson fight there is NOTHING to be excited about with Danny's career for the last 3 years.

I don't really see this. Danny was on the short list for Floyd after the Lucas fight, but never really seemed that interested in the fight. He's done nothing since then that really suggests to me they are looking for a big fight vs anyone let alone Floyd.

My assumption is that at some point, if only through attrition, they find themselves as the #1 challenger for Spence or Thurman or some other guy after that guy has knocked off everyone else notable in the division in a big fight, but they don't seem THAT interested in big fights.

This is what I keep saying whenever this topic, which seems to come up far too often, comes up. Garcia fights twice a year. Thats his schedule. He fought once already & there are 4 months & change left in this year. Expect to see him again this year.

I don't see the upside here for Danny's career trajectory for having a superstar type Floyd/Manny/Canelo schedule when he's not reached that sorta height in the game yet, but he's chosen to take upon that sorta schedule regardless & I suspect its damaged his chances of ever becoming a superstar or at very least slowed down the progress of that happening, but mainly his opponent selection has insured his career is basically at the same place its been since the Lucas fight. He's moved a trivial distance forward at best in the last 3 years.

We all know he's fighting Berto, not Thurman, not Porter... But why the delay?
