I live in the mountains near Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Albuquerque paper covers MMA fights 100 times more and better than boxing. Major boxing matches often don't even get into the paper. MMA is more popular to the average guy on the street than boxing. The best boxers still make many times the money MMA fighters make. I think Dana White gets most of the money in MMA.

Gorilla productions made a highlight of conor mcgregor, first time he made with an mma fighter. Normally just boxing HL.
Mcgregor is a big reason mma has become more mainstream/popular. He has famous celebs backing him, lebron james, CR, rihanna, drake, bieber and more.
He ha been offered hollywood movie roles, he has changed the game in such a short time, really special.
Boxing is number one for me, I also like mma.
Floyd vs pac ruined alot, also all the promoters, to many titles and mismatches doesn't help.
Many boxers trying to do the same as Floyd, ducking and cherry picking.
        Making ridicolus demands etc

Their brand is now far stronger than boxing I think, and they're getting all the shine.

Can any American lads speak about the relative hype surrounding each sport on average in the USA?
I can tell by your username you don't know shi.t from shoe polish.

You should leave this dead boxing forum and post on the live MMA boards

Get back to us when they make a fraction of what a boxer makes.

No that is the power of the New Owners of the UFC!

People even know who Ari Emanuel is? UFC is basically now part of William Morris Talent Agency probably the biggest and most powerful talent agency in the world. They're connected so now you will see UFC fighters EVERYWHERE and they will be able to turn guys into bigger Crossover Superstars and you will likely see UFC Fighters get more and more endorsements, movie deals and all type of stuff because of the new owners

Boxing just don't have anybody interesting that speaks English and has the personality to get casuals excited to tune in.
