If Kell Brook looks like that weighing 176lbs and he still has to shed that 16 lbs, he's going to look great on the weigh-in.
However, for me, whether you look out of shape or not isn't the only determination for how you will do at the higher weight, it's your overall skeleton frame. Smaller hands, smaller back, shorter reach/wing span. Those are some of the fixed statistics that can't be changed by going up in weight and is where the bigger guy has the noticeable advantage. Look at their shoulder to shoulder length and compare.
some guys have looked great, but their body simply wasn't accustomed to carrying that extra weight at optimum efficiency..... let alone for 12 rounds
walk-around weight is over-rated as fk..... especially on this site, I have never heard so much nonsense..... especially considering the fact that most people should be aware that boxing uses weight divisions, and should have at least a rough idea about what it takes to prepare for a fight
Brook's body is conditioned to prepare to fight a welterweight opponent at 147, not for 160, or even 154..... it would take him a couple of fights at least to properly adapt to 154, just like it did with a big guy like Ward at 175..... just like a big guy like Canelo to 160, just like a big guy like Kovalev to cruiser..... and just like everyone else.
It's about preparation/body type..... not walk-around weight LMAO

He's also the antithesis of Golovkin.
Moving up 2 divisions is something GGG would never dream of doing.
Don't just pick on Canelo...be consistent.Comment

gtfo Brook kills himself to get to 147, he's a natural 154lber if anything, he's fought there before too....some guys have looked great, but their body simply wasn't accustomed to carrying that extra weight at optimum efficiency..... let alone for 12 rounds

In fact moving up to 160 from 147 ain't no thang but a chicken wang, SRL, Duran, Hearns did it and dared to be great, you're just making a meal of it because it suits your anti GGG agenda.Comment
