“We have an interest in distributing it ourselves. Why pay a distributor 7.5% if I don’t have to?. There’s people out there who know how to distribute a pay-per-view. How many people does it take? We could do it, and it’s definitely one of the options.”

Crawford isn't a ranked welterweight and his resume isn't impressive at all though... but I agree it would've been a more competitive fight. HBO had the Rios and Algieri fights distributed by them though. Vargas at least has a title and is better than Rios. Don't get me wrong... Manny is gonna crush Vargas and it's a **** fight for ppv. I think Manny deserves a light touch fight like this coming back after retiring from the Bradley win until his schedule is better suited to fight a better opponent. He has given HBO a lot of good #'s throughout the years.

I thought it was the date not the opponent that caused HBO to pass?

Can't expect the public to pay for 3 ppvs in less than 2 months, kinda crazy to think it won't affect the other two major fights.

If anyone ****** Pac dry it was you Bob Arum.

Unlike your 2 previous superstars in Oscar and Floyd, Manny is probably to blind to see the amount of money that he has lost because of you.

HBO is tired of the same match ups and Pay Per View failures that your company has produced. Instead of creating new fights you would do constant rematches which lessened the interest of your fights.

All I know is that Top Rank needs to mend the fences with HBO because right now there's a lot of questions with Top Rank and the future of there company.

The bigger issue is does this effect Top Rank as a whole in HBO?
Crawford has plans to fight in November and Bradley in December.

Crawford vs Pax would do better than Vargas. Lets not overrate the Mexican fans. They dont give a **** about Vargas whos about to be a punching bag. Lots of hardcores would have bough Crawford vs Pac.. Hardcores arent even buying this garbage

All Arum had to do was get Crawford or Thurman for Pac and it would have been a game changer!! Pac should have stood up and demanded the best fighter at 140 or 147!! Glad to see HBO tell Arum to get lost!
