You are correct about the weakness at 160 so you right he will probably get his chance to prove his worth sooner rather than later.

He still has to prove it though and like I said I feel he needs to tighten up his game so I would take it slower with him even in a weak division.

Some guys can get away with it due to awkwardness, huge power, activity, range, movement, raw toughness or some other way but I am not sure how Plant deals with that openness at a high level in the sport.
