No need to hate fella'...calm down.

He didn't cut in line..it's not his fault the Russian quit.

Shakur got another bye into the finals
Shakur is very well rested due to thr two byes.

I hope Ramirez puts on his A game cuz he's the better more deserving fighter.
He earned his first bye in qualifying rounds for the games. It wasn't just given to him. Other fighters have earned the same first round bye.

I'd be more hyped if I saw more of him but he is fortunate getting to the finals, regardless of any fantasy match up wins he would have had over the guys he was supposed to face.

I'm more disappointed at some of the horrendous judging that has taken place thus far. In terms of boxing quality, this has probably been the worst Olympics I remember.

But it's only a mega fight if the people are known. Amateur boxing doesn't even get play on tv.

Only a handful of fans even know who either guy are. So how can it be a mega fight.

Amateur boxing sucks period point blank. The only ones that excited about it are the ones who are new fans and never experienced this stuff before.

I used to get real excited back in the 80's when I was a fairly new fan. Now with how amateur boxing has evolved. I could care less. And so do most die hard fans.

I'm USA. I'm rooting red, white, and blue, my issue is the system that allowed a guy to advance without earning it. Go Shakur, but Nikitin was getting unfair benefits to hurt the competition. Now Nikitin is disabled and two guys better than him are benched. Shakur gets the by, not his doing, but he benefits just the same. Anyway, that gold won't be so easy, no matter what. USA!!

That's fair. I can admit bias out of excitement of seeing the first shot at am Olympic gold in 12 years. And I've also been a huge Robeisy fan since the last Olympics so I'm pretty amped for this one.
