I blame the current sorry state of the PPV model. Ward Kovalev is the marquee fight of 2016 and even that doesn't have a ton of cross over potential from hardcore to casual fans. Pac Mayweather, besides being boring, set the precedent with casual fans to buy one fight a year if that and it definitely won't be during football season. They're waiting for 2017 and a thin sports/ thinner fight schedule to help bolster continually shrinking PPV buys. If the promoters give the green light Canelo will start selling wolf tickets again instead of throwing cold water on the fight. Either way, GGG is going to slap him like his father.

Of course he is not going to let GGG hit him, at all. He is gonna stay as far away form GGG as humanly possible, at least until age takes over and ggg is injured and is no longer able to perform up to the lofty standards he has set. Canelo isn't going to lay down and let the vastly overrated GGG pummel him mid ring. Canelo has fast hands and good skills and when has GGG actually ever fought anyone that fought back? NEVER. Even though Canelo is a mexican that should not stop a good fight with GGG.
