Or Trinidad when Hopkins got him?

Hard to get a feel for P4P ratings when i wasnt properly following the sport (or in SRL's case, not alive)
Benitez was a wizard. Considered a master boxer.

Golovkin fan shouldn't be in here. I don't think Golovkin has fought a top 50 P4P.

            Jones-Toney

even as a huge Roy nuthugger at the time, i thought Lights Out was gonna test Roy

12 round exhibition...one of the most impressive p4p schoolings i've seen

Pea vs Chavez surprised me too when Whitaker went IN the pocket and got the better exchanges vs Sr

              I'd probably go with Toney.

ok. i made a thread keeping track of the p4p kings so that posters on this site can just refer to it instead of having to scour the internet for historical p4p rankings. i think i got it historically covered from as early as the mid 90s.

i take that back, i got it covered starting from 1989. just havent updated the most recent years.

so ring magazine's official p4p top 10 list started 89? i thought it was around mid 80s...

I think Mayweather Canelo should be on the list. I feel like there is a weird phenomena around Floyd. Any other time in history a champion in his early 20s would be considered prime but not when Mayweather fights them lol. Benitiez was 21 when he faced Leonard, Hearns was 22, Tyson was 22 when he beat Spinks, Ali was 22 when he beat Liston and list goes on and on. But Mayweather beats 22/23 year old Canelo and that doesn't count?

Voted other with Hopkins - Pavlik in mind. He took his soul that night.

                      Pacquiao vs Barrera I

Barrera was #2 P4P when Pac destroyed him.
