It's weird how the people calling for this rematch are the same people who complained about how boring it was and how it set boxing back. There are better fights Pacquiao can take that he can still probably win.
Pacquiao should fight on PBC if he wants a Mayweather rematch

Yep. Bob has fooled them once again using Mayweather to sell a Pacquiao fight. If he was really angling for a Mayweather rematch he would be scheduling a high profile fight.Comment

Floyd likes money and more so likes to spend money. So this sort of opportunity to really make some serious bread is not going to be around forever. This is a fight he can win against a guy who he knows is not going to come for him with as much vigor as say Maidana did which is how a young gun is likely to approach him, it is going to be a boxing contest more than a fight. But if Arum is angling for a MayPac rematch he doesn't have much time. Floyd is only coming back for a 9 figure payday, he feels his legacy is already set so he's not coming back for a legacy fight. Fighting Vargas on some obscure PPV platform, hell, fighting Vargas at all, doesn't raise Pacquiao's profile enough to bring Floyd back.
I think Manny's profile is fine because he is minted as a great. Plus you have the injury angle (no matter how bogus) and the long layoff angle along with the lingering of past feelings the two created in relation to each other.
I guess it is an unknown if Floyd comes back but it is an opportunity I think he would have to at least consider. Plus there are other things he can get out of it like capital for Mayweather promotions, good relations with both Haymon and Arum which he needs to make his company a success.Comment
