Floyd has already stated he is not coming back for less than nine figures. That's why he was trying to make the McGregor fight. There is no fighter out there right now that has the buzz to generate another nine figure payday for Floyd. Manny fighting Bradley for the third time and now fighting Vargas does nothing to raise his profile. The only fight that could've raised his profile on PPV was Broner. That's why Arum asked him first. Beating Vargas on a low selling PPV does nothing to make the public want the fight again.

Pac is shot, no one wants to see the rematch, if only floyd had the balls to fight a prime pacquiao. -
It'd be interesting to see Arum, Manny & Haymon do anything on National TV like this. I'd just love to see how much of an audience Manny on free TV could garner. And with HBO & Arum obviously not the best of friends these days Arum making new friends wouldn't be an awful idea for the future of TR. That said I think there is virtually no chance anything like this happens I'm still secretly rooting for something like this just like I was rooting on Floyd's last fight being on national TV.Comment

Pacquiao is untouchable at the moment, all major sponsors and TV networks dissociated themselves from him after he said those comments about Gays being abnormal, and less than Animals.
Gay Billionaires and millionaire producers no longer supported him and they have big control over hollywood and politics. Arum should have told Manny to avoid anyone who asks him his stance on the Gays.Comment

I don't think he wants to fight ANYONE, but if he came back to fight anyone it'll be big & that being the case it'd almost have to be Manny or someone who flattened Manny to be 9 figures.
I suspect Nelson & Arum legit don't like each other so him broadening his horizons would be key right now, but I just don't know that its in his DNA to play well with others on any long term basis. So maybe I could see some one time things pop up I don't got much hope that Arum wants to join up with anyone no matter how much of a force he could become & be among these bigger entity. Maybe after Arum passes something like that could happen, but I think Arum is too stuck in his ways for better or worse.Comment

Arum just has to use other guys, make a couple good fights on PBC that are basically throwaways for him like Bradley fighting Thurman, Garcia or Porter or something like Crawford fighting Broner or Lomachenko against like Mares which are more to Arum's advantage but that is kind of how something like that would have to work. Then have PBC help to promote the PPV with the longer term goal of them both cashing in on the big fights.
They can really both use each other at the moment, it is not something likely to last but they can have a good couple years working together because it can benefit both sides.Comment

But if Arum is angling for a MayPac rematch he doesn't have much time. Floyd is only coming back for a 9 figure payday, he feels his legacy is already set so he's not coming back for a legacy fight. Fighting Vargas on some obscure PPV platform, hell, fighting Vargas at all, doesn't raise Pacquiao's profile enough to bring Floyd back.Comment
