He's a young kid, fighting guys who wouldn't be in top 100 in the pros, and neither him nor his opponents are used to to getting hit without headgear. There's a reason why even top amateurs never get matched against top pros until they have ~10 fights in the pros. The only exception to this has been lomachenko.

Even Rubio would destroy Lopez right now.
Didn't N'Dam just crash out of the olympics? Wasn't he top 20 MW?

Welcome anyone that could challenge GGG. I don't know anything about this young Cuban fighter but if you think so hope that day comes. You must know something, you have a great avatar!

a pro fighting an amateur with amateur rules, is very different to a pro fighting an amateur with pro rules.

thats the main difference, but its a big difference. Gloves are smaller too in the pros i think. A young kid might be able to win points against a pro over 3 rounds with thicker gloves, but when youve got them wearing you down over 12 its a different story. Got them posters making it sound like rubio is some useless bum, guys a solid fighter.

Don't worry about the rounds, Rubio won't make it past the 3rd.

Lemieux won't make it past the third against Arlen either LOL

PS: do you know how rare it is to score knockouts in the amateurs even big punchers like GGG, Kova and Beterbiev weren't doing in the AMS what Arlen is doing.

Beterbiev was doing that. He was doing it in the headgear era. Artur moved up to 200 pounds (that is 22 pounds above Light-Heavy, 178 pounds) and was still rocking fools. I seriously Arlen can go to 178 from 165 (13 pound difference) and do what Artur did at 200 pounds.
Beterbiev is considered one of the hardest punching amateurs of all time, by many, for reason. There were several fighters that were scared to fight Artur because of how hard he hit. One of them was 2008 Olympic Silver medalist, Kenny Egan.

Kovalev wasn't knocking people out though. GGG did KO a good amount of people, but he fought with headgear on. Who knows what type of damage he would have done without headgear.
Lopez definitely has more power than Kovalev. I think it's arguable with GGG. Lopez seems bigger than him so it may give him the edge, but Beterbiev just had monstrous power.
Lopez is not robotic like Artur though and he's faster, so he's going to score great looking KO's.

Either way Lopez is impressive. You can't stay in front of this guy.
