If he fights Broner the way he did Mayweather, he would definitely win.

Hatton would make it an ugly fight like he tried to do with Floyd. Broner isn't good enough to keep him off him. Maidana and Porter were able to push him around and Hatton would do the same. Ricky by TKO. Would have been a fun fight to watch though.

Except isn't nearly as fast, disciplined, elusive, and cannot adapt like Floyd at all.

Broner certainly has the tools to catch and hurt hatton...but we've seen broner clam up and do nothing when facing a lot of pressure and thats what hatton'll bring

I could see Hatton generally controlling the action with Broner stopping him in the 8th. Hatton just didn't have a good guise against a hard-hitting counter puncher
Yeah against bums. Porter aint ****ing with prime Ricky, and Prime Ricky swarms FAR worse than Porter does.

It has to be Hatton because Broner cant deal with swarmers .

Broner doesn't have good footwork or footspeed.

I think Hatton stops him but Broner does have a good chin

Prime Hatton would be way too much for Broner.

His prime was very short though, but at his beat, he was an excellent fighter at 140.

Broner hasn't got the skills to deal with that pressure and mauling style.

Broner isn't a counter puncher. He's either punching or defending. He doesn't transition from one into the other with counters. He doesn't use the opponents mistakes or aggression against them to counter with. That's just simply not how he fights best. He can, but not very effectively. He's essentially a come forward pressure fighter. He doesn't fight well off the back foot and doesn't fight well on the counter. He is best when he's coming forward, pressuring, and throwing when he wants to, which is when the opponent stops throwing themselves and usually moving back.

He also doesn't hit much harder than Floyd. When he has stepped up his comp to a Floyd level, he hasn't stopped many, if any of those opponents. When Floyd was fighting Broner's level of opposition at 130-140, he was stopping all of them just as easily.

If you're impressed by Broner stopping guys like Escobedo, Litzau and Perez, you need to go watch what Floyd does to those level of guys in his 130 days. I think he does hit harder, but it's certainly not by much and even that could be argued.

Anyway, from what we've seen of Broner so far, Hatton would win.
