Comments Thread For: McCrory: Golovkin Never Tested By Big Names, Brook Can Win!

Former world champion and Sky Sports analyst Glenn McCrory believes IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-0, 25KOs) is capable of shocking the heavily favored WBC/IBO/IBF/WBA middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs).

Ofcoiurse brook can win. If Floyd can step up weights and win, and PAC can why can't brook?

People who criticise GGG for this fight are irritating. Just cos the person who thinks he can beat GGG happens to be a ww is not gggs fault.

Of course you csan claim its not a great win for ggg as broiok hasn't beat any middleweights or acclimatised to the weight.

But no reason to think it foregone conclusion or not a good fight.

yeah, people have written it off completely, seen people calling it a circus fight etc. Noone knows how brook will be as a middleweight, if he handles the weight weve got a great fight on our hands cause what he is is a world class fighter. Although see people are now trying to deny he was even any good at welterweight lol

it is a circus-fight because "Noone knows how brook will be as a mw"

            same as Canelo/Khan, even worse.....

No, they are saying that he may not even be the best welterweight.

            Big difference.

Being "any good at welterweight" should not be enough to land you a Golovkin fight, unfortunately.

no it isnt, you are just grumpy and pessimistic. Ask yourself, what if? WHat if brook is as good a fighter at middle as he is at welter? What if its not bull****, and he actually did feel drained at welter? There should be lots of excitment and intrigue about this match up, two unbeaten fighters, then people like you turn your nose up at it

oh god dont say its worse than khan canelo, look at the difference in shape between them two. And khans chin had been exposed at lightweight, brooks hasnt been, everyone knew as soon as canelo landed its over. And other than khans glassjaw, he was winning every round imo so the size didnt make much of a difference in terms of a welter outboxing a middleweight, its just khans chin cant take a shot from fighters of any weight. Khan had multiple losses so we know if hes struggling with lightweights hes gonna struggle at caneloweight, people stil dont know quite how good brook is. Also canelo rehydrates a ridiculous amount.
