Interested to hear to Fury's side of things because from Hearn's version it sounds like Hughie called for the fight, got offered the fight, and then said "not this year doe".

Hugie Fury isn't on that level regardless.. wait for Tyson Fury instead. That's one of the fights to make for Joshua.

I've never seen Joe Parker fight, so if he's the best, then make that fight. But from what I've seen, I'm guessing Stiverne is the best option by far. He's a common opponent with Wilder, which always helps to build up that fight, because we can compare how they looked vs him. He also looked great vs Arreola twice, back when Arreola was still decent, and the one time he looked bad, against Wilder, he said he wasn't at his best. And he's somewhat athletic and can somewhat punch.

That's the fight I want. Pulev would be decent. Povetkin would be intriguing since Wilder ducked but I think the better fight is still Wilder-Povetkin because Povetkin at least has one advantage in that fight, compared to the many, many Wilder has, which is that Povetkin is built more stocky. Wilder is taller and longer, Povetkin is stockier. But against Joshua, Joshua would be taller, longer, and more stocky, too, or just as strong anyway.

Wilder-Povetkin, Joshua-Stiverne on a split-site Showtime doubleheader this fall, then Wilder-Joshua in February, and the winner against Tyson Fury-Klitschko winner in June/July. Then the losers fight, the winner fights Ortiz, then the winner of that fights the winner of the loser's bracket in either a rematch or a first fight if it's Ortiz, while the double-loser fights the next up and comer in the division who emerges by Fall 2017. Then you get more rematches and maybe a trilogy in 2018, by which time new faces will emerge and will immediately be pay-per-view fights with whoever comes out of the current crop because they will be a mega star by then from all the huge fights back to back.

THAT'S how you ****ing build superstars! You make the best matchups, and then you make the rematches of the best matchups, then you mix in new top blood, then you make the trilogies, and you just keep going until the champ wears down or gets beat, and then the next guy is an immediate star because he beat the guy that had won so many big fights.

So I mean, if yall really want superstars, that's how it's done. But if you just don't want to milk every champ you got for medium-paydays, while never taking any risks, then you will have a lot of mediocre $ guys, but no superstars.

I feel for Hugie and the problems he's had with illness but to talk of him fighting for the world title is complete madness.

Hugie is no where near that level and for me will never be , good luck Hugie but you need to fight some top guys of at least decent contenders ....David Haye would be a start.

Bit of a non story if you ask me.

Hughie's never fought anywhere near world class and could be suspended shortly.

Joshua should be looking for guys at his level, not below now. Parker's fine, as is Haye, Stiverne, Wilder, Ortiz, Pulev, Povetkin, T Fury, Wlad, Brown, Jennings or Chagaev.

Plenty of guys that are acceptable keep warm fights too.... Chisora, Helenius, Duhapus, Molina, Thompson or Takam. I'd even watch him break David Price in two.

That's a lot of dudes to pass over for someone that's never fought a world class opponent. When and if Hughie reaches that level, then they can talk.

Hughie shouldn't be fighting for a world title at this stage. He's still really young and has a lot of development to go, not to mention the possible doping stuff. If he clears that, he should take on Euro guys like Gerber, Hammer, Fedosov type guys and maybe build up to a fight next year with Whyte or Chisora. Then if getting through all that, go for a title in 2018, there's no need to rush him.

As for Joshua, I'd like to see him fight either Pulev, Molina or Duhaupas in the Fall. I kind of like the idea of going after guys Wilder has fought because it is something that can be used for comparison in the build up to that clash. If I were Hearn, I think I'd go Molina for the Fall, Parker in the spring, Joshua vs Stiverne in the US summer of 2017 on a card with Wilder and then a fight between the 2 late 2017.

This supposed "exciting new post-Klitschko era" (according to the mainstream boxing media) has been one of the worst years for heavyweight boxing in recent memory. The champions are all unproven, people are supposed to be excited when David Haye fights bartenders and Uber drivers--and now even ducks Shannon Briggs--Wilder fights a sadly shot Arreola, Joshua's manager tosses out bigger names but you know he'll decide on Julian Long or something, Ortiz is looking like the next Odlanier Solis, Big Daddy Browne wins a belt but gets it taken away under very strange circumstances, one disappointment after another.

Vitali Klitschko could probably take a sabbatical from being Mayor of Kiev and come back and win all of these belts. Hell's Bells!
