Some people claimed pros would literally kill amateurs.

No they weren't. The guy who beat Zou was a top 5 or so guy recently & was probably still a top ten guy after his L. N'Dam is a cat who's probably top 20ish or better. The other guy seemed more like a prospect guy so who knows about him. But no these weren't "mediocre" pros at all. At worst I'd say they were above average pros. I mean hell most guys dream of, but never achieve being top 20 or better.

Ultimately these guys didn't lose cuz they ****** at boxing. They lost cuz amateur boxing is a different sport to pro boxing even without the headgear & with going back to a 10 pt must scoring criteria. Mostly I'd assume the pace of amateur boxing is what cost these guys. In pro boxing you got 30-36 minutes to figure out who's best for guys at these pros level. In amateur boxing you got 9 minutes to figure out who's best. That is a huge difference & requires a fundamental change in every way to what these guys have been doing for a decade or longer at this point (at least in the case of the 112lb champ guy with the long ass name & N'Dam).

yeah and people who believed they would were ****ing ******ed. Why did you have it in your head that the amateurs are useless. A hell of a lot of them are actually more skillful than pros, as strength power etc arent as important. Some rugged durable type fighters not going to outpoint some slick cuban are they. You think any of the pros would have gone in there and beaten rigo, lomachenko etc in the last couple of years when they were amatuers?

Tha major issue with professionals was weight! dont wanna go into it though... In addition, they should have reminded themselves that it was only 3 rounds. Imagine Abraham would have competed in the Olympics? haha it takes him 3 rounds just to say "Hi, how are you?" to his opponent lol

I love the fact that either N'Dam or Ruenrong fought a top fighter.

Ruenroeng is known for a win over a much hyped guy in Shiming who was rushed into the title picture. Plus he won his professional title at 112lb...and was competing at 18lb heavier for the Olympics.

N'Dam was always a c level fighter, nothing special.

When the idea of pros in the ams was mentioned, the real worry was top pros. Not guys like this.

AIBA acting like some p4p threats were participating. Relax bros. We were concerned about pros at the caliber of Kovalev or Crawford or what have you beating up some youngins.

Kovalev will have to fight at the 91 kilos, he's not beating Levit, Tishenko or Savon there over 3 rounds.

If he manages to make 175 which is a big if, cause he gains a lot of weight he'll face De la Cruz, he ain't beating him over 3 rounds. No chance in hell.

Crawford would have to fight at the 64 kilos and he'll have to face Dunaytsev, Toledo, Sotomayor amongst other. Hell to the no.
