Why doesn't Calzaghe get the credit he deserves?

Joe spent years chasing a younger Jones and Bhop down but they wanted nothing to do with him. By the time he fought these guys his hands were all busted up, and he was a shell of his former self(hence the retirement after the jones fight), yet he still schooled both of these guys. Ward fans always love to bring up the fact that Ward beat Kessler, Joe beat an undefeated Kessler nearing the end of his career, and he did it without headbutting.

Zaggers also beat Eubank, and a prime undefeated Lacy who was supposed to be the next big thing, Zaggers took his soul and career. Lacy was utterly humiliated in that fight.

Cuz he's a 'slapper', his resume 'sucks', and he only fought good fighters when they were 'done'.

    Bull**** and hypocrisy.

Because SMW was a historically weak div. when he was reigning it and even before he was.

So Ward's resume is awful right? Seeing that his best win or second best win lost to an old Zaggers.

He's white and from Britain. It's the fucking truth.

Kessler only became big shit when Ward beat him but before that most people called him a bum.

I agree, man. Zaggers was a hell of a lot of fun to watch. I watched the Lacy and Jones fights the other night. The guy was very talented and given that his hands were garbage by that time, what he did was incredible.

But it's like that. Haters will hate. He retired undefeated and fought plenty of top opposition and 21 defenses and unification. Some people maybe didn't like his style or the slapping but if your hands are bad, you have to make up for it some way. I loved his style. He brought a lot of action in there, did a lot of cute things and never seemed intimidated by anybody. Zaggers was the man.

No, it's not awful. Ward is a crafty and talented fighter but his career has been absolutely stagnant since the Froch victory.
