I think Adonis would have KO'd Brand in less then 7 rounds. Ward is past prime, taking a small 39 year old 12 rounds?? Is that a tuneup for Kovalev or a cash grab from the ****** people who actually paid to watch that crap?? You know better you are a big fan. Hey I am just calling it as I see it I thought Ward was a king in 2011 after he beat Froch in the final and that was even in what seemed to be a half empty arena in AC? As a fan I was looking forward to that fight it was a great match up and was not disappointed watching it , but as I recall Ward did not capture any uptick in mainstream attention before or after that fight, and to me it seems he wasted his best years either injured or in court?

On top of that he was probably trying to get rounds in to shake off rust. Even Kovalev said this. So you really can't use the to prove past prime. Who else does the public 'perceive'as a legitimate challenge? For Kovalev he is building a resume, for Ward it is a cash grab as we can see he is trying to grab as much as possible and has not signed nothing yet. Who can Kovalev beat/fight to build his name to US viewers/critics? It's Ward. I think Beterbiev is a better candidate to 'beat' Kov but that fight has political issues and is even lower profile, his promoter screwed him out of the Adonis match up, he was lucky to come to Canada for 2 pay days but as someone who was at the first one the people came to see Pascal, atleast 12 000 fans were yelling JEAN , JEAN , JEAN, all night. Kovalev has been unable to build a paying loyal fanbase and Ward has Oakland. The difference between Oakland and Montreal is that half the house is not comped.
