Is nationality the main criteria in determining whether you like a boxer?

Do you decide to like a boxer based on nationality or the excitement he brings?

Do you prefer boxers who run out the clock for UDs who are the same nationality as yourself, or exciting fighters from elsewhere who make a statement with a KO?

I don't care about nationality or excitement as much as I care about quality of the fighters.

If a "boring" (using your words) boxer defeats a solid opponent by UD that is better then an "exciting" boxer beating up a no hoper. In practical terms, Crawford/Postol is more interesting then GGG/wade.

Freedom, as a boxing fan you also know KO finishes are not just about the power of the guy you are calling "exciting". It is also about the quality and condition of the opponent.

Canelo KTFO Kirkland or Kahn or GGG KOing 20 overmatched guys in a row isn't really exciting. There is no drama. We know a KO will happen, its just a matter of what round. a Rigo or a loyd dominating a Nonito or a Manny is far more exciting to me.

I would find it more exciting if they fought tougher guys where the outcome isn't a forgone conclusion.

There's always going to be some sense of national pride when being a fan of a fighter, but for the most part, I choose fighters based on their fighting style regardless of race.
