It was a bs fight. Ward knew it, HBO knew it, fans knew it. All that considered those are decent numbers. I mean you can't just say there is some Ward trend going on like the quality of opposition doesn't matter.

Floyd did just under a mill buys for Maidana, over 4 mill buys for Manny & less than half a mill for Berto. Did Floyd suddenly gett popular when he fought Manny or is there a trend that the better the opponent the more people buy a PPV (Manny>Maidana>Berto). I say the latter & the same thing with Ward in this case or any particular fighter. Can't make too much of bs numbers on a bs fight outside of maybe deciding to fight more non-bs opponents to get non-bs numbers in the future.
