Comments Thread For: Berto Feels Broner, Garcia Made Mistake With Pacquiao Offer

Top Rank CEO Bob Arum is in the Philippines this week to finalize former multi-division champion Manny Pacquiao's November 5th pay-per-view ring return. The frontrunner for the fight is WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas with unbeaten WBO/WBC super lightweight champion Terence Crawford also in the mix for the fight.

Is it correct to think that it would have been a career high purse for both of them?

Pacquiao is not the same fighter he was not still a very good fight and Berto has a point. I think he would beat both of them.

Garcia is waiting for the Mayweather fight. Kind of reminds me of Khan. The differences between Khan and Garcia is that he's taking on lesser fighters.

I completely agree. Passing up on that was ******, especially considering the late stage in Manny's career. Broner is delusional, and his ego is ridiculous. Another loss would be disastrous for him, and I don't see him beating any of the top guys at WW, which financially would be the most rewarding for him. Even if he continues to campaign at JWW, I see him definitely losing to Crawford. Even Postol and Matthysse would be handfuls. His decision really doesn't make any sense. It's absolutely idiotic on Broner's part.

It's embarrasing how entitled these young guys are. Neither is a huge star or a great fighter. Passing up the opportunity to fight an ATG, on his way out, for a minimum of 4 million is a joke. Canelo was a more popular name and earned a similar purse while also giving up lbs in a catchweight against Floyd in a similar position.

Both of these guys are a ****ing joke, they have absolutely nothing to lose in this matchup. Low risk- high reward.

just goes to show how these young guys still view pac as a major threat even at this stage of his career.

I think Danny should have had more money than Broner ...Danny has the better chance of the 2 2 beat Pac & look @ the guys Pac's avoiding : Thurman , Spence just to name2 & of course Crawford... all 3 would beat Pac...
