offensive potency, or impotency, is absolutely a consideration.

ray leonard got outboxed and ended up behind on points against tommy hearns. he had the punching power and the chin to come from behind and knock hearns out in the 14th. what's ward going to do if he's behind on kovalev? he'd certainly benefit from punching power if that were the case. and in that sense he is limited by his offensive impotence. sometimes you're behind and you need a knockout. ray leonard had the temperament, chin, and the punching power to come forward and stop hearns. ward has the chin and the temperament. lacks the power. limited.

i expect a narrative, and a clueless one at that, trying to convince me that the sky is red. let's hear it.
    You're joking right???

Did Floyd's power increase when he moved up??

    Come on now dude.

Abraham was cold-co.cking people at 160 but that all went away when he moved to 168.

To imply Ward should have more power at 175 is just plain goofy.

Even Froch admitted that Ward won comfortably......and Ward put on that performance with a broken hand!

Ward reminds me of a boxing John Stockton. Fundamentally great. Smart. Tough. Hard worker. mundane. task oriented not people person. A pros pro, Never great but very, very, very, VERY good. A HOF'er. 1st ballot but not a super star.

A guy who comes to work on time, does his job and leaves promptly when its time to.

you should be banned for a day for lack of proper boxing kowledge

every fighter in history has lost power moving up in weight. punch resistance AND power goes down when you move up because you are fighting naturally bigger and stronger opponents
