Sergey Kovalev Interview - OAKLAND, Calif. - Undefeated Andre Ward used a steady left hook to repeatedly score and unanimously outpointed Alexander Brand to take the WBO Intercontinental light heavyweight championship Saturday night. Kovalev has always been respectful as far as I know until people start running their heads. I hope we see two fighters at the top of their games in November.

Pasquale and Stevenson are the only ones Ive seen talk smack too and deservedly so imo. You dont poke the bear, Kovalev seems to me like the men I grew up around. You get all the respect you gave them, when you started acting like a fool thats how you were treated.

Both know this is their biggest fight. They also know each presents problems neither has ever faced at this level. Fans of a fighter and not the sport can say what they want and try to deride either fighter, but after this, when this fight happens, credit should be given to the winner no matter what. Of course this IS NSB. Some will find excuses for anything. At least one more excuse has been cleared from the table and Ward is signed and on track for this fight!
