Yep. Plus, did you see that slick move Brand make early rounds, can't remember which... he slipped a punch and immediately pivoted round to do a slick uppercut on Ward. It didn't land flush, but I'm sure JDJ saw it, and will exploit it fully.

Ward will outbox Kovalev and win a decision

It's highly likely that Ward already fought the toughest fighters he'd ever fight, stylistically. I think in the end, Froch and Bika will end up being #1 and #2 physically toughest fights for Ward, and stylistically. I think Kovalev is great but I think Bika and Froch will end up being tougher stylistically. And no, do not put words in my mouth, Bika is not better than Kovalev...this is not what i'm saying...just in case. Talking styles and physicality here

This was a crap fight...

If you are having a cherrypick tuneup mismatch, at least get the guy outta there quickly like danny did Ron salka..
Going 12 with brand does not look good at all for Ward, especially if he is going to try and sell the public a PPv fight

It was a predictable fight. I am not surprised it went the distance though as Brand has one thing going for him and that is movement and awkwardness.

Ward looked very composed and strong though. Kovalev looked slow and off step in his last fight. I think Ward beats him November 19th. Ward is finding his rhythm again and Kovalev may be slowing down. We will see.

And yes... they were Shaken.... as to stunned how it takes Ward 12 rounds, and he could not even stop a guy who was knocked down by a can off of the street.

Look, I respect Ward, for being a straight guy in and out of the ring....

... but the way Ward has been fighting, I don't think he would of survive a Chilemba or a Pascal.... nevermind Kovalev.
