They have been really favoring the American fighters here. I thought Hernandez lost the first round and they gave it to him. I could see him winning the second round though.

Tough one to score first round was close, Hernandez 2nd Round and Egorov 3rd Round

Had it 2-1 Egorov but Hernandez Accuracy was vs Egoroz work rate very tough to score

Am I crazy? I thought the russian won first and third round. First close but he landed more shots.

Very impressed by Hernandez there tbh. Only has to beat Quipo to medal. Should be straightforward enough.

I thought Egorov won, but I wouldn't go as far as saying that it was a robbery. Hernandez did clean work. I gave Egorov rounds 1 and 3.
Hernandez could end up medaling here. Nobody thought he was going to be a potential medalist for the USA, but now he very well could be. He only has to beat Quipo and that's an easier fight than against Egorov.
The USA has had three competitive/close fights so far in this tournament and they have been given all of them via Unanimous decision.
