Kazakhstan in international boxing get the most gifted decision ever.

Corrupt boxing is normal in international boxing.

Savon held a lot in that last round.
You knowledge of boxing is bad.

The shorter guy who jump and smother his own attack Shawn Porter style is the reason of the holding.

            Nawwwwww.....I think you're just biased.
Most people had it close, but gave it to Levit.

            • Best boxers after 8 days:
(Guys with more than one fight)
              1. Hasanboy Dusmatov, Uzbekistan, Light-Fly

              2. Yuberjen Martinez, Colombia, Light-Fly

              3. Vassiliy Levit, Kazakhstan, Heavy: Beat a World Class opponent in Savon in a close fight. Savon definitely took the first round, but Levit came back in the second. Whoever won the third would win the fight. Both had their moments, but Levit just seemed the stronger energetic fighter. Savon kept holding instead of throwing at times. Close fight, but Levit deserved the decision in my opinion. He now has to fight Evgeny Tishchenko in the final.
Wins over: Yu Fengkai, Kennedy St-Pierre (Ranked #7 in the World), Erislandy Savon (2016 Olympic Bronze medalist. 2012 Olympian. 2015 Pan American Games Champion. 2015 World Championship Silver medalist. Ranked #2 in the World.)

              4. Shakhram Giyasov, Uzbekistan, Welter: His list of opposition is excellent. The only reason why he may not be ranked higher is because his fight against Iglesias was super close. Some didn't agree with the decision, but I think it could have gone either way. Giyasov outworked Iglesias in spots and was also landing clean shots. I think Giyasov looked solid in a close fight. He did what he had to do. And that is put pressure and be aggressive, because a boxing contest would have been difficult to win against a master boxer like Iglesias. It just wasn't that Giyasov was throwing more, but he also landed. That is what won him the fight. It wasn't like he was missing his shots. Iglesias landed the bigger beautiful shots, while Giyasov was putting punches in bunches basically. It was close fight regardless of who people gave it to. No robbery in my opinion. He now faces Mohammed Rabii, 2015 World Champion. Tough task. If Giyasov beats Rabii then that would do him good. It would also depend on the manner of how he defeats Rabii.
Wins over: Youba Sissokho (2015 European Championship Bronze medalist), Eimantas Stanionis (2015 European Champion, currently ranked #6 in world), Roniel Iglesias (2012 Olympic Gold medalist. 2008 Olympic Bronze medalist. 2009 World Champion. 2x Pan American Games medalist-Gold, Silver. 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games Gold. Ranked #4 in the World.)

              5. Daniyar Yeleussinov, Kazakhstan, Welter: Another dominating performance against another top 10 ranked opponent. He easily won the two first rounds and then he decided to brawl in the last round against the brawler. In my opinion he made Maestre miss most of his shots while he connected the clean ones, but obviously after two dominant rounds that gave the judges the impression that Maestre forced him to brawl. It was pretty obvious that Yeleussinov decided himself. He even out-brawled Maestre in spots. I hope he doesn't brawl in his next fights though. He doesn't want to give the judges the wrong impression. Impressive performance by Yeleussinov and beautiful boxing. If Daniyar continues to have performances like this then he may just end up being the best boxer of the tournament.
Wins over: Josh Kelly (Ranked #7 in the World), Gabriel Maestre (2013 World Championship Bronze medalist. 2015 Pan American Games Champion. 2x Olympian. Ranked #9 in the World.)

              6. Sofiane Oumiha, France, Light

              7. Souleymane Cissokho, France, Welter: This last fight against Ardee (or Adi) was very frustrating to watch. Mainly because of Ardee trying to spoil the fight. I wish Cissokho would have worked more when they were in close. Cissokho was the clear winner in a pretty dirty fight. Cissokho adds another pretty decent win. He now faces Daniyar Yeleussinov, probably the favorite to take Gold, in the Semifinal. I'll be shocked if Cissokho can beat Yeleussinov, but we shall see. Even if he doesn't make it past Yeleussinov this is still a good tournament for him and will end with a medal regardless.
Wins over: Imre Backsai (2010 European Champion), Parviz Baghirov (2015 European Games Champion, 2015 World Championship Bronze, ranked #3 in the world), Saylom Ardee (3x Olympian.)

              8. Joshua Buatsi, Great Britain, Light-Heavy

              9. Zhanibek Alimkhanuly, Kazakhstan, Middle

              10. Robson Conceicao, Brazil, Light

              11. Mohammed Rabii, Morocco, Welter: Better performance than his first fight. He didn't look bad in his first fight at all, it's just that it was obvious he could have shown more. He looked better today against a decent opponent. He showed good combination punching. He now faces Shakhram Giyasov in the Semifinal. That will be a difficult bout. I think either fighter can take it.
Wins over: Rayton Okwiri, Steven Donnelly (Was having a decent tournament up until this point. 2014 Commonwealth Games Bronze medalist.)

              (Guys with one fight)
              12. Kairat Yeraliyev, Kazakhstan, Bantam

              13. Robeisy Ramirez, Cuba, Bantam

              14. Shakhobidin Zoirov, Uzbekistan, Fly: I was really impressed with his performance against a solid opponent. That to me was one of the best performances so far in the tournament. He was so quick and accurate with his attack. He was busting Irvine up. I can't wait to see him against Vargas. If Vargas can beat him that would be impressive. If Zoirov also makes easy work of Vargas then wow!
Win over: Brendan Irvine (2015 European Games Silver Medalist)

              15. Arlen Lopez, Cuba, Middle

In line: Sattibayev, Jianguan, Alvarez, Otgondalai, McCormack, Mbilli, Melikuziev, Tishchenko, Hrgovic, Dychko, Jalolov

Yeah he is one dimensional but being 3 times world, pan am champion, bronze olympic medalist counts for something. The guy that he beat in his first fight in Rio was one of the 3 pros that made it to the Olympics and he shut him out.

Stop hating - Frampton, Santa Cruz and Garry Russell ain't beating Lazaro. Conceicao might.
You're right, he probably wouldn't even get to those guys so a mexican journeyman will probably end up knocking him out like the one that recently wobbled one of Barthelemy's crappy brothers.
The only cubans that seem to do anything in the pros are multiple gold medal winners like Lara and Rigondeaux.
Apparently, 2 or 3 gold medals are required to lose to 6-1 in the amateurs Carlos Molina.

Balderas basically whaled on his ass for the first round. Complete drubbing. If he was so special, he would have avoided that. The only reason he even got into that fight is because Balderas slowed down.

Balderas replicates that first round in the second at even 50% of round one, Alvarez wouldn't have even been around to hear the final bell.
