It's scored just like a professional fight.

Dusmatov dominated round 3, but Martinez did good in the first two rounds. I gave them to Dusmatov, but I think at least one judge could have given Martinez the rounds.
I have given Dusmatov more credit than anyone else, so I don't want to hear this BS.

i thought dusmatov won every round with cleaner punching and ring generalship

definite val barker contender. he didn't lose a round in the whole tournament officially or by my count

Nothing to be ashamed of for Martinez.
Dusmatov may end up getting the Val Barker trophy if nobody out-performs him the rest of tournament.
I hope Martinez still gets opportunities.
Light Flyweight in my opinion has been the best weight class so far.

I had it 3-0 Dusmatov, but Martinez held his own in the first two rounds and could have gotten the first two rounds on at least one of the judges scorecards.

The Cuban's have taken L's left, right and now center.

Alvarez, Savon and Iglesias all eliminated. I still fully expect Julio Cesar La Cruz to win a gold, but that seems to be their best shot now...

Julio La Cruz has been the most impressive imo.

La Cruz is brilliant, but in my opinion he hasn't been the most impressive. There is quite a good amount of fighters that have out-performed him so far.
Also, La Cruz's opponents haven't been the best yet.
Dusmatov and a few others have performed better than La Cruz and against better opponents.

I make rankings after each day and I explain why they are ranked where they are. La Cruz will probably get on the list now, but his opponent today wasn't high quality (or in his first fight) and La Cruz didn't even have the best performance of this session or the previous session he performed in.
So he may make the list, but probably won't be that high.
No hate on La Cruz. I'm a huge fan, but I want to keep it real.

-It's crazy how favorable has been the draw for USA
-Daniyar is my top pick for the val barker, he outbox the guys and also goes to war in the last seconds
                    -Conlan is underrated
-Before the olympics i was so high on cuba, but they are looking like the 2008 team, still my favorite Cubans still are in the games
-Antonio Vargas it's not only the most underrated fighter for usa, it's also the best of them
-Martinez is a gold medalist in the heart of the people

Martinez is the people's champ. I hope he gets opportunities.
All he wanted was to buy his mother a house.

Another great performance by Dusmatov. This was without a doubt his closest fight.
It's going to be difficult to outperform Dusmatov for that Val Barker trophy to be honest.

Dusmatov will probably stay amateur. As for Martinez, who knows? But hopefully how he performed at these Olympics is life changing.
