Comments Thread For: Pacquiao Selects Jessie Vargas, Rules Out Crawford For 11/5

I think this was kind of confirmed the other week, with Broner's and Crawford's comments on the fight.
If it's not Manny's last fight, then i think it will be Crawford next then retirement. The options pool is running more shallow. As much as talk of Arum and Haymon being willing to work together sounded cool..It's one thing talking about it, and another thing it actually happening.Comment

What a poor choice, so with that i expect a very poor PPV return. Arum loses out which is excellent news.Comment

I'd prefer pac v tc but it's obvious tc doesn't wana move up in weight and pac is comfortable at 147. Not to mention pac gets yet another ww belt around his waist.
Good fight.
Edit: looks like the home boys are back. I don't even understand how they can label pac ducking Crawford when tc himself said he wouldn't fight at 147, a weight pac hasn't made in 8 years lolLast edited by soul_survivor; 08-04-2016, 06:21 AM.Comment

crawford is bigger than pacquiao.
this is an awful fight. keep in mind that americans pay $70 US for these ppv.
for some perspective, the guy that manny just beat soundly, tim bradley, had very few problems with vargas outside of the very end of their fight.Comment

As a match up tho, this isn't bad. There are 4 title holders in the division, 1 is busy at middleweight and the other 2 are on pc/signed with haymon. Garcia turned down the pac fight.
Crawford is bigger, smaller. It doesn't matter because he refused to go to 147 for pacquiao, those are his words, not mine.
Maybe pac doesn't feel comfortable moving down to 140 or maybe the fight will happen later. This however is not a bad plan b.Comment

Zzzzzz
And they expect people to pay for this meaningless fight?
Poor Manny will be fighting into his 40s to pay back all his debt.Comment
