        well he did say frampton clearly won but it was closer then 117-111 thats for sure

          Why must all close fights be scored 7-5 either way? That's ridiculous given that it's scored on a round by round basis and not as a whole at the end of the fight.

              Because it was a close fight. A competitive fight, where one guy is always game, but doesnt win rounds can end up 12-0 for the other guy.

              Thurman Vs Porter was a close fight, a 9-3 card for that fight would have been ridiculous and people would have screamed robbery.

              Walters Vs Sosa was a competitive fight, but should have ended with a 10-0 or 9-1 scorecard.


              If the rounds were that close judges should use 10-10 rounds, if I recall correctly judges used them more frequently decade(s) ago.

              With the 9-3 scorecards, Santa Cruz could have won another 2 rounds and would still lose on points.
