DDT him like he did to Pascal in the rematch.

      Basically....

He needs to go Glen Johnson on Roy Jones....go so hard the first round that you have no choice but to win it on all the judges cards......hopefully that will sway the judges in his favor when Ward is just running and holding the rest of the fight.

And Kovalev must employ uppercuts when he gets close.

Bottom line: PUNK THE S H I T OUTTA WARD!!

        Kovalev doesn't have game plans

He does the same thing always. He isn't a very well rounded fighter. Not to say he is dumb, he is very good in that style he does but he is just not the type of fighter who comes out with different game plans suited for different opponents. He does the same thing over and over just on a level that it's enough to beat almost everyone.

Ward will be the exception though because he is a "once in a generation" type of talent and Kovalev's demise will be (among others) tht he can't adopt to new situations. He won't have a "plan B".
I don't say that he is a dumb fighter but he won't outbox or outfox Andre Ward. Anybody who says he is more well rounded and a better pure boxer than Ward is crazy.

            this!!!!!

Stay at distance and simply stay calmed.

Do not step in cause Ward will also step in and won't give him the chance to unload.

              it ain't gonna happen bro...

Kovalev never punked anyone, he is a clean, textbook fighter. He won't become a bully overnight. Especially not against one f the best bullies i the sport right now who would easily pick him apart in his own game. Kovalev's only way to win this is to do what he does the best and hope for Ward is also not enough to stop him doing it.

But Ward is a whole different case than that version of Hop or Chilemba or Pascal...
Ward UD probably wide because as I said if Ward once figure him out and takes away his weapons I can't see Kovalev can change up so the fight will probably go in the same pace from then.

What got into you? You actually sound reasonable. Normally you wouldn't give any white fighter a snowball's chance in hell of beating any black fighter. Keep on being reasonable and fair minded. It becomes you. Your battle plan for Kovalev is a good one in my opinion. However Kovalev is not restricted to knocking out Ward in the first half of the fight. Kovalev can KO Ward in any round of the fight including the 12th round. The betting odds on this fight are dead even. Either man can win on points or by KO. Ward has a wicked left hook that seems to come out of nowhere. Kovalev has a telephone poll of a left jab that can give any boxer trouble.

Jab to the body to keep Ward at bay. Use lateral movement to Ward's right while jabbing, feinting to setup the straight right.
