According to Danny Jacobs they offered him the same amount of money to fight GGG as he made vs Peter Quillin and he called that chump change. Tom was at the Porter/Thurman fight sitting behind Jacobs, but they talked before hand.

It should be noted that shortly after the Canelo-Khan fight, the WBA stated they would order a Golovkin-Jacobs fight if negotiations fell through between GGG and Alvarez. Less tjan 48 hours later, Jacobs was unavailable, having secured the Barclays against TBA (later determined to be Mora).
