  • Wtf that was a robbery

Santa cruz i thought was garenteed the victory i was shocked just now watching the replay when they said frampton won, leos workrate and pushing the fight not to mention the rounds in which he provided workrate and clean straight rights

    Wtf is up with boxing

It was a damn close fight. I felt LSC won rounds 10 and 11 definitely and probably edged round 12. Frampton definitely won rounds 3 and 4. Other than that, every other round is up for debate, that's how close I felt it was.

All the close rounds frampton was backing up and leo was initiating and everytime frampton decided to throw a counter leo would initiate a trade and always stay there, everytime leo got hit he let his hands go and landed last with frampton on the backfoot at thw end off it, leo put in hard work and grinding always making sure he has the last punch in the exchanges and pressing the pace, all that hard work to be robbed

There was a few time frampton would land a nice pot shot but 1 punch thrown in return of taking five doesnt win you a fight regardless of power calculated especially when the fighter with more quantity is making the fight on the front foot (look at joe calazghes wins)

I agree man it was a Mexican warrior vs basic eurobum

I didn't watch the fight but everyone knows

Slick American bruvva > Mexican warriors > stiff eurobum

From this simple equation I know it was a robbery

Learn to score fights pal. It wasn't a robbery, close fight. I thought like most that Frampton edged it, but lots of close rounds. Frampton was definitely punching harder though and that is sometimes harder to notice on TV.

Most scribes and respectable websites I have seen had Frampton edging it, I seen quite a few draw cards, but no complaints either way.

Also if you want to focus on quantity, I am not a big fan of compubox, but punches landed was very even, and Frampton edged power punches, the numbers point to a close Frampton victory, which is the same way the judges saw it, and like I said most boxing scribes. So I think you a reality check on this one. I am not going to get in a back and forth debate, but Leo was hitting a lot of gloves and arms, grazing punches, not landing in the target zones, Frampton was landing clean on the button. Leo landed clean when Frampton exchanged, this happened in rounds 6 and 7, where he clearly won the rounds, and rounds 11, and 12 where they were very close rounds that could have gone either way.

Like I said it was a close fight, and I don't mind either if someone has it close either way, but to call it a robbery is poor scoring on your part.

i thought santa cruz won, obviously it was close but i didnt think it was one of those razor thin fights that could go either way. i thought santa cruz clearly got the better of him even though it was back and forth throughout the fight.

maybe not quite a robbery but a bad decision for sure imo, rematch needed.

He had the workrate but loads of his shots were missing and hitting on the gloves and arms that is not how you score points, sorry.

No robbery the right man won today and he was damn impressive I'd have Carl Frampton in the top 5 P4P rankings now.

Carl did what Rigo would have done to Leo but with more of an intent to stand inside at times and give a show.

If anyone would surely understand what Frampton was doing you'd expect a Rigo fanboy to understand what was happening to Santa Cruz, he didn't deserve anything Carl came to his weight his hometown and he beat him fair and square no rematch needed Carl done it the hard way.

When Frampton often backed up Cruz would land say maybe one punch and miss about how many 4 or 5 or 6 of his flurry punches then Frampton would trade him back one of his jabs or arm punches with a clean power shot.

If you wanna complain about a fighter fighting off the backfoot look to Crawford, Frampton brought it tonight he was the smaller guy with a significant lower reach and he was still landing the better stuff and bossing the fight at distance blame Leo Santa Cruz for not knowing how to beat a classy fighter because honestly he had all the tools to win!

The good little man beat the good taller man.
