I guess it's a good thing that New York just instituted mandatory brain damage insurance policies on every fight card.

Paulie is going out on his back, if Bracero doesn't do it, Paulie won't quit. I can hear it now, I'd love to end my career at the Alameda swap meet.

Paulie should just call it a career. There is lil to be gained for him in the ring now. It would seem his money is alrite. He gots the Showtime gig. He gots his podcast. He does freelance UK ****. He gots businesses & property. Why still getting hit in the head? Initially you get hit in the head to get into a position like he's in so why is he continuing exactly? Chasing dreams he'll never catch again. He had a solid career. He should be happy with his accomplishments.
          It's not that easy.

The sport is dangerous but it is their career. I tink a lot of people would find it difficult to walk away from their career, before their 40s, after investing of their life in it.

I guess it depends on what the career means to them. When it is a means to an end, when to walk away is pretty easy. When they develop a love for their career it is akin to asking an artist to never paint again.

Since he doesn't like Manny so much, he should fight him.

Getting tough to find fighters with a 20% KO ratio!
I like Paulie he is a tough kid but the fights are boring and he is far past his best.
He does a good job at ring side and thats alot safer than messing with your health.

Oh I'm not saying its easy. I do feel like it should be easier for Paulie since he has so much to fall back on doe & he seems like a logical thinking type of guy with most things (Manny & his retirement appear to be the things he's most irrational about these days).

In general for me I got that Dana White logic on retirement. If you are thinking about it &/or talking about it you should retire cuz you can't halfass a combat sport. But yea good luck convincing the average boxer to get out when there career has turned sour.

The former Magic Man is now the ***** Man who needs some shave. Hopefully hell retire while in good health. He'll get sparked again once he steps up competition.
