What are you babbling about and how do you know what I've posted??? Oh wait... You take this forum seriously? You go out and research the posters?... That might be the saddest thing I've heard since Naseem Hamed said he would "return", but never did.
Im sure you love GGG because Steve Kim told you to. Had Canelo fought the opposition GGG has and people were anointing him the best fighter in the world, you'd be pissed.Comment

And what good is Canelos superior resume if he gives him no confidence to step in with the bum beater? Hed rather be boxings #1 joke. And you're wrong on moving up, as usual. He'd signed to fight Chavez Jr, offered Froch 168 in the UK and agreed to fight Ward back when Hbo approached them.Comment

Nope. The fight wasn't even tentatively announced for Cinco de Mayo. Even from a promoter's point-of-view, not putting the biggest ppv event on the the biggest ppv holiday weekend of the year is extremely perplexing. To many Canelo critics, it seems like a tactic to cover their arses if they don't fight GGG in Sept ("timing wasn't right again?").Comment

These posts are hilarious. When will folks realize that Alvarez didn't give a crap about being middleweight champ. It was just a trinket to make money off of. To him dropping the belt was a business move to keep from overpaying Trip. Trip doesn't really care about fighting Alvarez from a pure boxing standpoint. He just wants the money and the exposure that comes from it. Thus neither guys willingness to compromise. BOTH ARE AFRAID TO COMPROMISE AND LOSE!Comment

He's not making any sense here. Just because GGG doesn't have as good of a resume as you doesn't change the narrative that you didn't want to fight him in 2016.
And realy, if he's fought nobody and you guys seem to agree on the purse split, venue, and weight, then why not just face him?Comment

It's only happened in Texas for a title fight, I'll look it up later if you want but iirc it's because of the state laws - you'll only see it in Texas and maybe places with hardly any state athletics regulations (like Arkansas as the other poster pointed out, states like that (probably Alabama idk)), which is why we've only really seen open scoring outside of the US as the WBCs long "experiment". I'm sure besides the Canelo Trout fight you've seen it in Europe and one of Chavez jr's fights had it too (also in Texas and he was another guy for sure getting extra help from the WBC).Comment

trout beat cotto and lara schooled the hell out of paul Williams(one of the worst robbery ) i have seen. all before they fought Canelo. add the fact that canelo beat cotto.Comment

The argument of "he hasn't fought anybody" is worse for Canelo because now it casts a spotlight on the record of Canelo's next opponent.
Smith hasn't fought in America and has no notable opponents.
If you compare GGG's next opponent versus Liam Smith, GGG made the braver move.Comment
