Canelo says GGG fought nobody. Then who has Liam Smith fought???? Obviously it is not about who fought who, it is about fear and Canelo is having a meltdown and the pressure is still getting to him.

Here's one to think about too. Since WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF, ESPN, Ring, *********, etc etc. have their own rankings, you can end up with like 50 guys that are "top 10" fighters

I think those guys you mention are a little green (throw in Demetrius Andrade). GGG is flying high, and they are still looking for a profile fight with a dramatic ending or something.

I think a lot of the matchmaking (Canelo & GGG) is just a sign of the times. Sergio Martinez cleaned MW out like a French Maid, and it takes time to rebuild, and that doesn't get any better with GGG fighting 4x a year.

Martinez didn't clean out the division. Had he beaten Geale, Pirog, Strum he would have but he never did. Honestly outside of capturing the title from "the champ" Pavlik his reign is very similar to GGG's. I really wish Martinez wouldn't done the fair thing and defended against the next MW ATG, it was a match made in heaven.

Both should be good fights. And I realize WASTING all that time with CanYellow and Eubank really didn't give GGG much time at all to make a fight. And there was ZERO time with another promoter. Kov. Ward is going to be for the #1 P4P IMO. Should make for an awesome fight. Plus we have a GREAT fight on tonite. My hope is Canelo fights Saunders in December. Get's his belt and then fights GGG Cinco De Mayo 2017 for ALL the BELTS!!!!

Exactly. Golovkin wasted months waiting on Canelo, and then Eubank. Brook isnt my first, or fourth choice for an opponent, but I understand why he took the fight. Like you said, there wasnt enough time to go back to square one with another promoter and still get a September date. Also, its a chess move to get closer to Saunders. Fight in UK, create demand and marketability for a GGG-Saunders fight. Start to force Billys hand. Selling out O2 in 12 minutes speaks volumes.

I like your idea about Canelo beating Saunders then fighting Golovkin. I would have loved to seen that instead of Khan. Imagine the hype if they both came in with 2 belts!? WBC-WBO champ Saul Alvarez takes on IBF-WBA champ Gennady Golovkin for all the marbles...

You even know what P4P stands for??? And ANYONE can get RANKED! Just ask Bob Arum how he used to do it. Heck I've seen DEAD people RANKED before. REALLY a DUDE was DEAD like 6 months and STILL was RANKED...But let's look at some current ranked Top 10's...I'll even keep it SIMPLE and stick to ONLY MW's.
