    Outbox? Probably not. Knockout? Possibly.

Tyson Fury's height, reach and skill would give him a great chance of outboxing a prime Lewis.

Prime Mike Tyson might have KO'd Lennox, but he would never have outboxed him.

The post isnt even about Fury i think any SANE person would know that ,the word prime would be an indicator!

Lewis would defeat Fury easily ,much better skill ,power , and with steward would break Tyson FURY down . Lewis had one of the best jabs ever and a 84 inch reach more than enough length to take control of the far lesser jab of FURY ....length doesn't win fights skill does ,6'9 /7'2 who cares ,Lewis would probably do a Golota on him by rnd 4 .No one without one punch power or ability to hurt with one punch power defeats Lewis ,you would have to hurt Lewis first before out boxing himin Furys case, slim chance .

Tyson outboxed Lewis in their fight in the opening rounds ,and partly bc Lewis was tentative of Tysons power . A prime Tyson would have been MUCH more elusive and lighter by at least 10/15 pounds which would have let him sustain the pressure and throw the necessary combinations he used to .He would out box Lewis before knocking him out by mid rnds ,or this would have ended in lopsided Tyson win with maybe Tyson giving away rnds near the end knowing Lewis will clinch and try and survive .

Fighters able to sustain a forward attack or keep Lewis fairly at bay with power gave him difficulties in close fights or competitive ones ...Mercer /Bruno / Briggs / Holyfield and even C level fighter Justin Fortune used a Tyson like style and did fairly well before the knock out .

I would give Lewis a 30% chance of pulling off the upset !

No way, Lewis was always the better boxer.

              outbox?

tyson had great head movement, but you're talking about outboxing a guy who has a foot of reach on you and a great jab.

tyson's best bet to beat a prime lewis would have been to take his life away. move your head, make your way inside, work the body, and then come up to the head.

problem is that lewis clinched so well, and worked well in the clinch. tyson would have to fight from a distance and at an angle where he could keep his hands free. he was one of the best HW ever at doing this. it would be a great, great fight. the styles might favor lewis, again considering that he's half a foot taller and literally has an advantage of a foot in reach, but tyson had knockout power, and a great chin, so he'd be in it until he tired out.
