So don't know, that what I read between lines..they are really expecting a good amount of money..so 1M is cheap and 3-5 is ok...maybe 2M isnt enough also.."not worth the risk"(I see Team Lara just as team Jacobs, they are expecting a lot of money to fight GGG)
For $5m, with no fight camp and 8 weeks removed from his last fight, Erislandy Lara would fight Golovkin on days notice. In the grand scheme of things, that's probably akin to you saying that you'd fight Guillermo Rigondeaux on Saturday for $1m (no idea what your stature is like, but Rigondeaux is a 35 year old man who fights at 122lbs).

If given the chance to actually have a formal fight camp (8 to 12 weeks), the minimum ask on the fight goes drastically down, though likely still higher than what Lara gets for a tick-over fight.

K2's aim is to make Golovkin (before his 34 year old body starts to fall to ****) into a PPV attraction; if K2 was willing to go to PPV with Golovkin-Lemieux, Golovkin-Lara and Golovkin-Jacobs are both PPV fights (with terms reflecting that).

Lara>Kell Brook especially for GGG instead of digging 2 Weight Classes down and making him come all the way up

Lara is not taking a **** Payday to fight GGG nor should he, he will have to be paid handsomely for that fight to happen and rightfully so. WTF is the point of doing that fight for just over a Million when he makes $1 Million to fight guys like Delvin Rodriguez? So NO sorry $1 Million+ is not going to get it done. I think $2 Million+ Maybe gets it down

How much does he want the belts (and the money that could come from the win)? How much does GGG want a recognised 'quality' opponent?

How much do you think Lara should be offered?
If Golovkin-Lemieux was a PPV fight for K2, Golovkin-Lara is a PPV fight; $1m plus upside on the PPV (with the upside only beginning once the event does over 150k PPV buys, or whatever the final number was on Golovkin's PPV debut) isn't unreasonable.

At 2m+ it doesn't go down. No promoter is taking heavy losses on an unpopular no hoper who brings no belt, fans or anything at all. Maybe if Lara wants 2m he can take 2 rematches with Delvin. Or not, since he's not seeing those purses on Pbc again

LMFAOOO, this forum is ****ing garbage.

Once the event does over 150k... seriously?

If GGG/Lemieux doesn't do that, no way in hell is a Lara PPV doing anywhere near that

Because Lara has been proven to be good enough a fighter, to then help folks actually gauge how good Golovkin actually is, rather than just the hype about what people think.

Lara's been in there with Paul Williams, Vanes Martirosyan(twice), Carlos Molina (arguably the most negative fighter I've ever seen, tbh), Alfredo Angulo, Austin Trout, and Saul Alvarez, all without getting dominated by anyone as a professional.

If Golovkin steps in with Lara, and blows him out in 4 rounds, Golovkin's pencil rep starts to get marked down in pen for the first time.

He becomes less "Great Eurasian Hope" and more actual top fighter with a resume to actually start to look at.

That's not unreasonable but you are, as usual. Lara is not fighting Ggg for 1m lol, did you watch this interview with Decubas? Doubtful he'd accept 2x that.

Lara brings less than Lemieux ppv wise. Lemieux is a unification, Lara is not. Neither guy brings fans, but at least Lemieux bring an all action rep, and Lara brings rep for running and choking on ppv. Nobody that paid for him vs Canelo is buying a Lara ppv again

Remember this is the guy that was forecasting 900k for Fonfara Cleverly, and saying Ggg would forfeit his belt to Wade via Haymons winning purse bid. A grade A clown

Lara brings more to the table, as an actual B-side, than what David Lemieux did and that's beyond obvious; Lemieux's title victory was on FS2 for ****'s sake.

You add that Lara's never been blown out in a fight (and that the boxing public, my self not included though I felt it was close, saw the result of the Alvarez fight in doubt) and HBO has an opponent that they can market, and a fight that ESPN could openly get behind to push.

They can market him as #1 on their anti Gatti list. I hear that's a winning play
