Carl Frampton is a better Boxer than Leo Santa Cruz.

First things first, consensus in the UK bookmaking industry is that Framptons fight vs Leo Santa Cruz has been priced incorrectly.

The odds compilers have done a horrible job and some how through their amateurish algorithms Leo Santa Cruz comes up as an overwhelming favourite. 8/15 has been backed into 4/11. On June 23rd UK was backed into 1/9 to remain in the UK from the original price of 1/3. My point being the odds compilers are out of touch.

Carl Frampton is a slick Boxer and if he was an American national he'd get the praise he deserves. I can't see Leo 'out Boxing' Frampton because his ring IQ simply isn't on par. Carl Frampton has all the tools to make Santa Cruz look silly and if Leo doesn't utilise his jab from round 1, he'll lose a clear decision.

The size and the massive backing from the Mexicans will be what likely has Santa Cruz as the big favourite.

The fact they're fighting where they are is a bit worrying for Frampton he will really need to put some fire down on Cruz need to score a knockdown on him or knockout cant trust referees or judges overseas but Frampton is the bigger name imo.

I don't know man. Leo Santa Cruz is freaking huge for that weight division. In my opinion, it could be a toss up but I tend to lean towards Cruz because of his size and work rate.

I definitely agree that the factors you mentioned like size and fanbase make him a favourite. However, I think, as do some of my friends in the industry that he is over priced to the point where their is 0 value in betting on Santa Cruz. Essentially what we have is a straight line plodder with a fantastic engine (I must add) vs a slick fleet footed professional.

Frampton has been dropped on his debut in USA, fair enough. That definitely serves as a negative on his CV. What I find even more intriguing is Santa Cruz sloppy and boring fights vs Journey men where he is eating shots and breaking them down as the fight goes on. That will not work vs Frampton as he will win the rounds by landing the cleaner eye catching punches.

        I can't wait.

Does anyone think Santa Cruz is going to outbox Frampton?

I think Santa Cruz will win, but not by outboxing Carl. I think his skill level is good enough that his size will be too much. We'll see, though.

It's a good fight. If i learned anything about Frampton v Quigg was that Frampton doesn't really deal with pressure that well, in the few rounds Quigg pressured him. Santa Cruz brings a lot of pressure for 12 rounds.

Frampton is a very good boxer though. I think it's a great fight on paper.

I'm going with Santa Cruz via Robbery.

Good pointers, yes definitely weaknesses from both sides.

Might wager some cash on a Frampton decision victory it depends how reckless Cruz gets though really because I'm sure Frampton has the power to floor him.

Exciting weekend awaits which should more than make up for the stinker last weekend.

Quigg has a lot more stopping power in his hands though so its wise to not **** about and get careless against him, Cruz isn't really a big puncher at all.

You could say Cruz struggled against guys who looked to pop in and out and looked to make him reach and counter, the size could be a big factor but if it isn't I'd have to side with Carl.

Via robbery haha would just be typical.

This would be like Frampton fighting young Margarito. It would be a big win if he beats Santa Cruz.

                    of course he is.

that's not the problem though, the problem is a robbery.

frampton has to knock cruz out, which i can't really see happening, he seems to have a good set of whiskers.
