Ward is on record for saying that he's never coming back down to 168 for GGG...but he might be lying about that too. And who's to say that fighters at 168 won't duck him too? You do realize that GGG's goal is to become undisputed, right? If he moves up now, he gives up on that goal & starts from square one at 168. His time is now. If he becomes undisputed at 160, that frees up his options. This also means that GGG doesn't mind fighting a 168 fighter in the mean time. Zurdo is the most likely candidate if his hand injury heals in time. But if DeGale doesn't get the Jack fight, he could very well be looking to get the GGG fight in December. Don't count that out yet. And even then, that won't mean that GGG will be officially campaigning at 168. They won't do that until he's undisputed. But when you're a hater, of course you're going to encourage abandoning that goal. Am I wrong?

No fighter in boxing history is ever going to get a fight just by calling that person out. You have to negotiate. Only casual fans who are haters will constantly bring up debunk arguments like you. The fact remains that Kell Brook signed the contract intended for Eubank Jr. If Brook is willing to fight for a MW title at 160, more power to him. I've been consistent in calling the GGG/Brook fight a mismatch. And a money grab. Yet the fact remains that we wouldn't be seeing this fight if others had not ducked GGG. It was supposed to be GGG/Eubank Jr. So, don't make it out to be some cherry pick. Because for it to be a cherry-pick, GGG needs options to cherry-pick from. As a boxing fan, I'm appalled that critics would make such unfair conclusions about GGG when the critics themselves are ignoring the full story. Your anger should be directed at those who ducked GGG if you want to do something about it.

If we're talking about the big money debut for GGG in the UK, then yes he had to fight in London. If we're talking about increasing his world brand by fighting in the UK, then yes he has to fight in London. And by breaking into that market, he could potentially offer more money to opponents from the UK (*cough*Saunders*cough*). The move to fight in the UK was always Loeffler's intention, like he's said before. Sure, GGG's team could have scrapped the whole event & fought in L.A. for less money against, uhm, idk, maybe Heiland. But that puts him back on the shelf for longer depending on how long it takes to get Heiland to agree to terms...or it could be against a lesser name & a greater mismatch...there's no guarantee. And it certainly won't do anything to improve his standing in the rankings...I mean, he's already champion with 3 belts. So, by this logic, it would be a better move to simply break into the UK market, even if it's not a top-notch fighter (I actually see Brook as possessing world-class skills & will probably make the fight more competitive than most people think). And if that improves GGG's brand, then that's a good thing to have when he's trying to lure top-notch fighters to fight him. It's a mismatch, not a cherry-pick. Like I said, if Brook was willing to sign, more power to him. It's only an advantage to GGG to create a fanbase in the UK as well. Critics are unfair with their conclusions if they're not taking in the whole story.

Let's get this straight. As a boxing fan, Lara would get destroyed if he ever fought GGG. He doesn't have enough power to keep GGG honest...& he'll have no where to escape because GGG will cut off the ring. Lara is not a fight any boxing fan should yearn for. That's a bigger mismatch than GGG/Brook. And this isn't even going into the financial reasons why Lara doesn't make any sense for GGG's career route. But it's casual fans like you that makes boxing fans want that fight just to prove you were wrong. Additionally, Lara needs to get his team in gear if he truly wanted that fight. But he knows he gets destroyed if he fights GGG...that's why he won't ever advise his team to make that fight. Period. Case closed for you.

Such as? I don't think Eubank, Saunders, Jacobs are willing to fight him but haven't heard them talk any **** since GGG-Brook was announced. GGG wasn't willing to fight Ward but haven't heard Ward say anything about GGG in a while. They are trying to get credit for being willing to fight DeGale despite not offering him a deal and yet DeGale hasn't been saying anything about him either.

Maybe I missed something as I'm not on twitter but no idea who they are referring to. Canelo has been criticising GGG-Brook but has also openly stated he's not willing to fight GGG so not like you can accuse him of saying "we'll fight him" either.

If anything Loeffer is guilty of exactly what he's accusing others of. He never at any point mentioned wanting the DeGale fight before signing for Brook, never tried to get Hearn to agree to it. Instead they announced the Brook fight and then when it was too late "oh yeah we would've fought DeGale".
