To me, it's fine to call the GGG/Brook fight a mismatch or whatever. Because that's what it is. But to act like GGG is a coward for not facing better competition isn't being honorable to the sport. GGG's team has tried & tried & tried to get quality fighters in the ring with him. The ducking is evident. Only haters will ignore it. I think Jacobs just doesn't see himself winning against GGG, so he sets up some timeline to prepare for such a bout...but receives the social backlash for making such a timeline when he's been a mandatory to GGG longer than any other 160 fighter. Like I said, the ducking is evident...only the haters ignore it. To me, if you're going to go on a forum to talk boxing, come to debate not defame.

Now, looking at that timeline, how much space is in there for Lara? Canelo held GGG's team on hold for weeks. Then the Eubanks did the same thing in a less than honorable manner. And as a long shot, Hearn offered the Eubank contract to Brook, who signed. GGG's viable options weren't there. Eubank Jr. would have been a nice bout the boxing fans could get behind. But Eubank ducked, just like every other 160 fighter before him. Even though GGG/Brook is a mismatch, as a boxing fan I understand why it's come to this. In a sense, one could say that K2 is trying to force GGG into the UK market because there are a few British boxers they would like to take. By breaking into that market now, they can improve their brand & their chances of securing other quality British boxers. Yes, boxing politics sucks. But let's not beat a dead horse. Let's take Errol Spence as an example. Errol Spence could go on a social media campaign to shame Brook into fighting him...or he can do it the normal way: become his mandatory. I think Spence chose right.

Only casual fans continually bring up GGG's resume & conveniently leave out the ducking which has prevented his legacy from growing. If you're going to bring up resume, you have to acknowledge the ducking. Boxing fans were supposed to be treated to a Canelo/GGG fight by now. But Canelo cries about being too small, despite owning a 160 world title...despite calling GGG into the ring...despite promising his fans the fight, then vacating. And that's just 1 example. People like you will continually complain that GGG should go against his goal of becoming undisputed...people like you seem to think that GGG will automatically get quality 168 fighters to face him as soon as he moves up. He doesn't have enough power to keep GGG honest...& he'll have no where to escape because GGG will cut off the ring. Lara is not a fight any boxing fan should yearn for. That's a bigger mismatch than GGG/Brook. And this isn't even going into the financial reasons why Lara doesn't make any sense for GGG's career route.
