Yeah I know, its laughable that he would want to meet in the middle. He should have been like Ward and been unwiling to budge in weight. I also have to assume that your shift to talking about weight is an acknowledgement that Tom did say GGG would be happy to fight Ward fall 2015, which you questioned...

Beats me why you think a fighter like GGG needs defending by anyone.
Because at 34 yrs old and having been a Middleweight Champion for 6 years, his most significant and accomplished opponent has been David Lemieux.

Golovkin has a stellar record but there's no argument when it comes to his weak resume.

Said he was willing to fight Ward in 2015? Was there an offer made to Ward and if so, what were the details?

It is laughable after wanting other fights at 168. You said they were happy to have a fight in the fall, you forgot to mention the catchweight which obviously makes it a joke offer.

When I wrote that topic about GGG's team yesterday it was said that I was picking on GGG. And right on cue his team proves my point two days in a row

Would it have been less of a joke if he said 160? I dont care what other offer he gave another fighter. We're not talking about Froch or Chavez. We're talking about Golovkin and Ward here. GGG offered to fight Ward 'right now', meaning next fight, right in the middle. 5050 weight 5050 purse. It was Andre that said oh no, wait til next year. It was Andre crying about Froch and Chavez. To me, that's like Berto crying because he didnt get the same deal Pac did. B!tch move if you ask me.

Im guessing your angle is going to be since they didn't send a notarized contract that there was no offer. I'm of the school that if you call someone out publicly, make statements to the media, very specific statements, then there is an offer. The details: fall 2015, 164 weight, even split.

164 was a ridiculous request and nobody took that offer seriously, it was laughed at by all apart from die hard Lil G nuthuggers.

Why is 164 ridiculous? Its a 4 lb departure for each fighter. Andre made it seem like making 164 was not problem when asked directly by Marcellus Wiley about it. If it was so ridiculous, why didn't Andre address the question as such? Why did he say, 'I walk around at 180' like he can make 164 no problem. Why didn't he say 'There's no way I can make that...'?

Why the need to call someone a nuthugger? I havent disrespected you and would appreciate the same courtesy

Loeffler said this when he received the contract offer from Ward. Ward said the reply he got said no, but maybe, maybe in 2017. Loeffler even clarified this saying G wanted to fight Canelo and then unify all MW titles before fighting Ward.
                      latimes.com/sports/sportsnow/la-sp-sn-andre-ward-boxing-Gennady-golovkin-hbo-tom-loeffler-20150915-story.html

Ward said Loeffler's response was maybe in 2017. Loeffler claimed he would be fighting Canelo next, so it wouldn't make sense to fight Ward. Then he agreed to wait and let Canelo fight Khan. Still, the fact remains that Ward sent an official, real contract for a 50-50 fight within days of Loeffler saying G would fight Ward. Then it took less than 30 minutes for Loeffler to reply to Ward with no, but maybe in 2017.

"He added that he told Ward's promoters that Golovkin would be pleased to consider the bout in early 2017, if Ward was still fighting at 168 pounds."

None of this really matters now. Golovkin is fighting someone two divisions lower, who hasn't even shown he is the best ww, while Ward is fighting Krusher to determine the #1 p4p fighter in the world. That says it all right there. One is making a ww jump two divisions and 13 pounds while the other moved up a division to face the current #2 p4p fighter.
