The fact is and we must always try and build our arguments on fact, that Max is not wrong here. He may not be 100% right but he is not wrong.

First off, it's an opinion, not FACT.

I prefer the opinions of experts to be reasonably consistent, free of hidden agendas and somewhat unbiased.

Max Kellerman has proven to be neither.

Mayweather, by his own admission, did not want to fight the best when they were at their best. He called himself "smart" and "a rich coward". His own words and his own tactics. He played the media and used it to promote himself as a must-see attraction.

All of these statements and quotes are purposely taken out of context.

Floyd mayweather was being overly scrutinized for failed negotiations by fans and boxing media. Up until the fight being announced, he received 100% of the blame.

Despite the initial cause of the failed negoations being ( by Freddie roachs own admission) team pacs refusal to submit to Olympic style drug testing.

Floyd's public responses to his critics such "well I'll be a rich coward" was a reaction to what he perceived as unfair treatment.

In retrospect, Floyd courageously introduced stringent drug testing policies - which has now become a standard in the sport of boxing - and prevailed.

The willingness to withstand an assault of his public image and assasiantion of his character was a selfless act and should be applauded.

Smh @ calling a professional fighter a coward.

His fans will deny it, even though the man himself refuses to deny it. He knows what he is. He is a street hustler who managed to have exceptional boxing talent and work ethic and managed to maximise it. He knew he couldn't beat certain fighters at certain times or that those guys were too much of a risk, again, by his own admission.

I've never heard floyd say hes waiting to increase his chances of winning. I do recall him saying hes waiting to increase his profits.

What is your point? Are you accusing floyd of prize fighting? Every single professional fighter is presented with a risk vs reward scenario when determining who to fight.

In fact for the better half of his career, the same "certain fighters" were the ones avoiding a young floyd using the same risk vs reward scenario.

Wait. So you really believe Floyd can predict a lack of focus? A motorcycle crash? A one punch flash knock down? ....all while not aging himeslef?

So he waited it out but in doing so, kept himself as the best physical specimen sport has ever seen. He never got fat, he never took drugs, alcohol, rarely ate bad food etc etc. Other fighters got older, Mayweather got smarter. He also managed to retain his in ring hunger for success whereas other fighters (ahem Pacquiao) saw massive pay checks and fought passively because they didn't want their meal ticket to fade away.

So floyd is a coward because he stays in shape? These statements are boarderline insane.

49-0. Fact. Only two people retired undefeated. Think about that. And think about how many champions Floyd went through to do it.

Sadly, boxing is heading towards a direction where more and more fighters are not taking risks, are not fighting the best and when they do fight a top opponent, it's years after the fight was relevant or when said fighter showed relevant weaknesses. It's damaged the sport and damaged fans, many of whom have not only come to accept this model but also support it.

If it were up to the fighters, but we all know it's up to the promoters. It has been that way for decades. FACT.

But we have young floyd. Bob arum doesn't want to make the floyd vs delahoya fight. Bob claims the money isn't there. Floyd pays Bob 750k to get out of his contract. Uses his own 20million to put up against and makes the fight happen.

The rest is history.

To sum it up....You can be a student or you can continue accepting the opinions of fools.
