There are certainly too many weight classes, but 3 pounds between 112-115 is not the same as 3 pounds between 147 and 150. That's why the difference between weight classes shrink the lower you go, because the lower you go the more a difference in weight means.

The great thing about the lower weight classes is that there's no money in top fighters avoiding each other. All the money is in the big fights.

These morons dont even know that until you reach 147 the average in weight classes is about 3.44997 pounds. From 147 and up the weight division separate by 7 + pounds to unlimited...for many reasons that I have not time to explain to a bunch of dimwits.

why are people getting pissed and defending 3 pound weight classes, i understand 3 pounds is a bigger diff when you're smaller but it is still ridiculous.

              Super Lightweight/Jr. Welterweight (140 lbs) - 5 pounds
              Lightweight (135 lbs) - 5 pounds
              Super Featherweight/Jr. Lightweight (130 lbs) - 4 pounds
              Featherweight (126 lbs) - 4 pounds
              Super Bantamweight/Jr. Featherweight (122 lbs) -4 pounds
              Bantamweight (118 lbs) - 3 pounds
              Super Flyweight/Jr. Bantamweight (115 lbs) -3 pounds
              Flyweight (112 lbs) - 3 pounds

Do you see a pattern here? that three pound does not look so insignificant does it? whats ridiculous about the separation? If you try to discredit these weights then you think the majority of boxing below 147 is somehow illegitimate...trivial lack world class talent or whatever arrives in your ignorant mind.

I dont think their has ever been a flyweight that started wining world titles at the minimum of 105 to leap as high as 118...incidentally that is the limit according too Team Gonzalez however these same haters have no idea whos at 118...then they will say well lets go up too 122 overall they want a someone that started their title reign at 105 to end up KO at 122! seriously.

121 last time I checked vs. Arroyo ...obviously this is not out of the norm for boxers as the IBF has about a eleven pound weight rehydration limit also it has been well documented that welters are rehydrating to middlewieight and lightheavy as cruiserweights but nobody is too ****** to tell lets say Adonis Stevenson to fight at cruiser or heavyweight but these morons expect this from a FLYWEIGHT! do they understand human anatomy? sometimes I feel like Im talking to 5th graders -- but this is NSB so yeah...there you go.
