Comments Thread For: Chocolatito Admits Decision To Face Cuadras is a Big Career Risk

Pound-for-pound king Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez (45-0, 38 KOs) will probably make the riskiest move of his career when moving up in weight and challenge the flyweight champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC), Carlos 'Principe' Cuadras on September 10 at the Forum in Inglewood, California.

It's a great fight. Not as sexy as some of the other fights out there for him, but definitely a risk.

I'm going to watch GGG-BROOK paired with this double header.. That's a great night of boxing right there even though I don't think much of the mismatch that GGG-BROOK Will be.

idk if it has much to do with the weight but hes moving up to test himself vs the clear cut no2 guy in the weight class, a win over cuadras gets him a 4th weight title with a major fight with inuoe on the table, or he can move back down for an estrada rematch. hes also spoke about going up a 5th division, hes 29 and he can do it as well. if he gets to 118 some may call for him to fight rigondeaux

At those weights and when you are 5'2, 3 pounds is actually a lot of weight. There are reasons why some guys fights above the weight limits like 155, 161 when they are not title fights.

I believe Gonzalez will win for two reasons CC seems to have lost that KO punch that he had early in his career possibly because he's fighting better quality fighters, as well as Gonzalez has a much better defense...
