  • Comments Thread For: Joseph Parker vs. Alexander Dimitrenko Finalized For October 1

As far as big challenges go, they don't come much bigger for Joseph Parker than Alexander Dimitrenko. The Ukrainian was confirmed as Parker's next opponent, with the two due to meet on October 1 in a 12-round bout at the Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau, the same venue where Parker beat Carlos Takam to secure the IBF No 1 mandatory position in May.

Pretty good tune up fight for Parker. Definitely better than the Haumono fight, which was never going to end any other way.

Even Dimitrenko is a cut above anyone on AJ's resume, right?

Ugonoh is an absolute monster. Kid has some freak power and a real mean streak in the ring.

            Big fan!

Dimitrenko is done & has no chin. He has been dropped by trialhorses the last few years. He won't last long. Briggs did not avoid this guy. Haye was simply not going to pay Dimitrenko more then the guy he was fighting in the main event. Parker will take him out early...

Their goes the November Joshua date then, can't possibly see it being December or January either with Christmas factored in with ppv's. If we get Stiverne or Pulev vs Joshua in November I'll be content.

It isn't a terrible stay busy fight. Hearn and Kalle have been talking about Pulev vs Joshua whilst the old man has been talking to Don King regarding Stiverne. Parker needs a little refining, by the time they face I'd have said he's had a better tuition than AJ himself.
